THE INTERVIEW ...
Q: Who are you and where have you come from?
A: Well My name is JP aka DJ NitrouZ- Im from inner-west Sydney born and raised.. Hmm what else can i tell you.. well pretty much all is in my bio so have a read :0)
Q: What possessed you to start djing?
A: When i was 18 and started to go out i was really inspired in what the DJ's were doing up there, how they Influenced the crowd. As i watched in awe i felt that it was something that i really would enjoy and grew to love.
I was brought up with music from a young age. I was a singer and i played piano(tried) haha. And i think thats also what helped in my thoughts as i was really into music and had found a new passion for dance music. Also I have an older brother and sister who used to give me all their old dance tapes(yes tapes i know) and i listened to them.
Q: Who are/were the biggest influences on your djing?
A: The biggest influences that i have had in my career have been some really good friends and family that have helped shape my career and ideas. The biggest would have to be my parents namely my mum they have supported me through (well mostly. At first they thought it was just noise but they get into it now). Again My brother after i had seen what to do he was the one that gave me a push. And my sister for all the old tapes..
Thats the family part- alot of my inspiration and guidance comes from some good friends Zany, Showtek, Daniel June, Jesselyn, Nervous, Steve Hill, S DEE.. They have really been great people to look to.
Q: What was your first gig?
A: My first gig would have been Local Hero's @ Ice Box in Kings Cross i had a lot of fun times there. But my first ever set out would have been DJ comp @ Plastic 2003 after 6 months of mixing.
Q: What style of music do you enjoy djing to? and why?
A: The only style HARDSTYLE!!! I love this music because of the structure the energy and its divercity and just the pure roughness. When i first started playing everyone would turn their head(and some still do) with how hard it is but for me this is great music. When i go out i want something to make me energetic and interested and this does it for me!!
Q: What other genres of music do you listen to?
A: I listen to Jumpstyle, Hardcore(Gabber) and some Trance, i also have a passion for AC/DC they are still one of the greatest bands.
Q: What other dj's/mc's do you enjoy listening to and/or having a dance to?
A: I really enjoy listening to SDEE he knows how to rock it on the dance floor haha, also alot of internationals, Nik Fish, Steve Hill, Nervous. And really anyone that i can see enjoy what they do if they are up there staring at the turntables and not reacting with the crowd then i dont like it. If people cant see you enjoy what you play then how are they meant to.
Q: Any funny moments?
A: Plenty but a lot i cant talk about.....
Q: And the highlight of your career, so far, is?
A: Wow big question!!! I guess there has been a few, Playing in Holland, UK, Mainstage Transmission in front of 5000 people, b2b with Zany, and some locals there is so many there isnt just one they are really all an achievment and im glad i get to do what i do.
Q: What advice do you have for the up and coming Djs out there?
A: Work hard, go out and meet people cause its not going to happen from home, enter comps and get experiance and most of all have fun and love what style you play!

THE BIOGRAPHY ...
DJ NitrouZ started DJing in 2002 but his passion for music started long before this when he learnt to play piano at a young age, and then from the old school rave such as Dyewitness, Ultrasonic and Hocus Pocus. NitrouZ started off playing UK hard house but soon found his way to hard trance.
In almost mid 2003 NitrouZ had yet to decide what his style would be until he found a perfect suited genre; Hard Style. After trying out many different career opportunities such as being an apprentice Chef, NitouZ decided that following his love and passion for dance music was the only way of life. Throughout his career so far he has seen many different parties ranging from small club nights to bigger events such as Transmission, Black Magic (both of which he has played), Godspeed,Manic(also played) Qlimax, Hard Base, Defqon 1 festival, Sensation Black and Ground Zero parties in Holland, and also had a part in the organisation and promotion of X-Kape which was Sydney’s first Hard Style party.
DJ NitrouZ now plays a unique blend of Hard Style sure to keep the crowd moving throughout an entire set. His energy and enthusiasm shows his absolute suitability to DJing. A DJ set from NitrouZ is never boring with his performance behind the decks giving the crowd a show they won’t soon forget.

NitrouZ is seen to be Sydney’s hardest DJ.
In 2005 NitrouZ hit the studio and started to create his own tracks. He created 5 tracks in that year alone, such as Guess Work(NitrouZ vs Verdi), Emplore (NitrouZ vs Verdi), T.O.B (NitrouZ), Submission (NitrouZ) and Give Me (NitrouZ vs Verdi), Insane & Alone (NitrouZ), FEAR! (Nitrouz vs SDEE), iSAW (NitrouZ vs SDEE), masif way (NitrouZ & SDEE), The Dream (NitrouZ), Sniffin Pussy (NitrouZ), Rag3 (NitrouZ), Deadly Sinz (NitrouZ & The Horror).
2006- NitrouZ was picked up by Masif and is producing for this label as one of its Hardstyle DJ's.
NitrouZ is seen to be one of Sydney's best Hardstyle DJ's. His willpower and enthusiasm, along with his experiences at renowned Sydney events such as Transmission (Syd, Melb, Brisbane, Canberra, Newcastle & NZ), Plastic, Manic, Godspeed, Prophecy, Pharmacy (Melb) Dream Universe, Techtronic, Rush,Sublime, Groove inc, Ice Box, Black Magic, Wanted, Space,Haunted,Local Heros, Masif The Event, Futuredome, Hardforce and many more also having been booked to play in Wales(UK),Night Of the DJ's in Holland(with Daniel June, Showtek & Zany) with more international sets to come.
