Who are you? and where do you come from?
Adrian Noel Castagna, Im from Unanderra
How did you get you MC name?
Well I was billed for electric one, Chooky's first rave party (promoting). Same night Crammy had his first set at a rave. I didn't have a mc'ing name so Chooky just put my rave name (Bubble) on the flyer and it stuck.
How did you get involved in the party scene?
Well it's a long story, I was young so I’ll give you the quick version... I was 13 and I had little friends at school, my cousin (not waterboi) got me to stay at his house for the weekend. That’s when I first ever raved and fell in love with the atmosphere.
What possessed you to start MCing?
Funny story actually... Myself and Shannon (Mc Phantom) where at a party and all of a sudden we were rhyming to Happy Hard and I couldn’t rhyme for shit.. Then on the way too Eclipse 2 . Chooky was listening to you’re shinning and I started to Rhyme then Chooky asked if I wanted to Mc at his first party Electric 1.
Who are/were the biggest influences on your MCing?
Well my main influences are Mc's Sharkey, Losty, D-tech, Destiny, Rek, Xorn, Ruffian and Herbalist. All of these guys have a very unique style and go about their sets trying new things. Another influence that has guided me to better my mc'ing is Wollongong’s own Mc lee, his style always amazes me! And his rhymes twisting and turning gives him a very good name amongst people in the scene and one for the best Mc'ing styles around.
What was your first MC gig?
Electric 1.... And thanx Chooky for putting me on
What style of music do you enjoy MCing to? and why?
Any style. Each style of music demands different styles of mc'ing. But my 2 favourite music styles are hardcore/gabba and happy Hard/freeform. There are always new twists in the music making it harder to MC. I enjoy the challenge. They always have good parts to have a nice and long rhyme session, thus trying to G up the Crowd.
What other genres of music do you listen to?
Everything but that opera shit and country western
What DJ's do you enjoy listening to, and or having a dance to?
The main ones are Amber Savage, Yoshi, Matrix, Fenix, Shadower, Suae, Pulsar, X-sive, Crystal, Refresh and Ctrix, Midian and Alladin.. Not mentioning The ill-fx boys and Team rocket . and all the gong dj's i know except the commercial dj's
Any funny moments while MCing?
Yes I have a few. First one was at electric 1. I was doing Raziel and hassins(not sure how to spell it) and about 2 hrs before the set me and Shannon dropped thinking we will be alright by the set and yeah we were too trashed to mc but we pulled each other through.The second one was atomic playground 3 I fell asleep during matrix's set when I was trying to mc lying on the ground.
Any last words?
Firstly I will like to thank all the gong ravers, Kristian(Mc Lee) for pulling me through my bad stage of mc'ing, you gave me the courage to continue with my Career as a mc,
secondy The promoters for giving me the chance to Mc at their parties even if I wasn't billed.
And to every up and comer Mc's.. don't listen to anyone jealous of you becoming a mc. it will only drag you down. Listen to the mc's that support you. We are always there to give you advice to develop yourself as a better mc.
I forgot one person Ian Hard for always helping me get my levels right. no matter what party he's always there to give a helping hand.
